A chilly Friday night set up a match up for two team’s defenses to display their talents. The Braham bombers offense struggled early against the eagles stout defense that was able to force a couple of turnovers early.
The game started with the bombers first hand-off bouncing on the ground and the Eagles swooped in and got the turn over. While the eagles got some drives moving down the field they never could get a complete drive in the endzone. That didn’t stop the defense though that kept the bombers out of the endzone until only six minutes left in the first half when they scored on a twenty one yard pass from Giffrow to Richmond.
After the two point conversion was successful that would be it for scoring as they went to half at 8-0. The eagles second half defense just couldn’t hang on as they started to lose traction after a turn over on a kickoff return. The bombers would take advantage of starting three drives inside the eagles 30 yard line and ran away with the game.
Two scores in the Third quarter for the bombers and one in the forth put the game at a final score of 30-0. The eagles only had one trip into the redzone on offense thanks a big run by Jace Schutt, but were unable to capitalize to get on the board.
The eagles face another tough opponent as they look for win number two this year against the undefeated Hinckley-Finlayson Jaguars.
